Unusual foods

To start off, I will just say that I LOVE FOOD. There are so many flavors and textures in this world to appreciate, and it's so much fun to try new things! But you have to be a bit daring to try something completely unusual at a restaurant. So, what have YOU tried that's bizarre, gormet, or just plain different?

As for me, I just love the fancy stuff that you don't get often, like caviar, calamari, and fois gras. But! Here is my list of weird foods (keep in mind, I'm Californian!). Oh, and I did like most of them!

Emu
Kangaroo
Frog legs
Escargot (too salty)
Chocolate covered ants
Aligator
Scrapple
Blood Pudding (gross!)
Vegemite (omg so gross!)
Ostrich
Buffalo
Tacos sesos (didn't know they were brains. Yum!)

hey hey there is nothing wrong with Vegemite I have it on my toast all the time. Just because you didn't gown up in "The worlds Greatest Country," Vegemite is great unless you eat it strait out of the jar then thats just weird.

I onced watched a show where this guy ate a live-beating frogs heart. They said it was very good for you. But, I'd NEVER eat that. It looked so nasty, still beaing. Ugh.

i had an emu pie O.o it tasted weird.. has camel in it aswell (no joke) we have kangaroo often (aussie) and vegemites nice on toast.. but you can eat it out of the jar like netalla (spellcheck)... like i did once, ugh.

That show is called Bizarre Foods. It's my second favorite show, behind a similar show, No Reservations.

Kangaroo, roleplay? Too...greasy for me. With escargot, my problem was the texture. It was like gum, with little organ speedbumps. And I don't even remember what alligator tasted like.
