Why does navi leave link

ya ive just beaten majoras mask and im wondering why did navi leave link?

ive been wondering ever since i beat ocarina of time
plz tell

Because Link wasn't actually a Kokiri, but Hylian I believe. So, he doesn't really get to keep his fairy lol. Navi was only there by command of the Deku Tree to aid him.

Navi's mission was to see Link through his adventure. Like The Converse Kid said, once Navi had helped Link save Hyrule, he no longer needed her. In addition to that, only the Kokiri have guardian fairies and Link isn't a Kokiri. Navi couldn't stay with him - whether she wanted to or not - because that wouldn't be in the natural order of the world.

Or perhaps it was her second mission to tempt him to leave Hyrule, find Termina and save it? You never know what other wise and foreseeing beings may have enlisted the help of the little fairy...

AS it was stated Link is a kikori (if you payed attention durring the new trees sprout)

it would of made sence, since the faries are gaurdians of Kikori. Link not being Kikori doesn't need Navi.

I haven't played Majora's Mask all that much, so the "friend" Link chases after is indeed Navi? I've heard from some people that he was trying to find Skull Kid, but that doesn't really make any sense.

OOOOK so I'm confused, I know Link is a Kokiri but I think you just said he is then he isn't??

You are, in fact missing something. As you probably know, kokiri never age. As Link pulled out the master sword, he was sealed in the sacred realm for 7 years. When he was released he had the body of an adolescent. When you complete the forest temple. The Deku Sprout tells you that you are not Kokiri, but much rather Hylian. Hence, Link is a Hylian, not Kokiri.
