Sprite Sheets

Hi I like making flash movies and I use alot of LoZ, FF, and Mario sprites. Normaly I find them somewhere where they are not on sprite sheets - seperate. But the best are always on sprite sheets. Today I was on tsgk.captainn.net (shyguy kingdom) and saw some REALLY awesome LoZ sprites, but to my anger, they were all on sprite sheets!!! I was hoping that someone could tell me how to rip sprite sheets. If you know, plz tell me!!!! Thx.

Sprite sheets are what your meant to use. If you want to use them in Flash you first have to import it onto your workspace. Select the sprite sheet. Go to modify > bitmap > trace bitmap. Make sure that you have these settings:

Colour Threshold: 100
Minimum Area: 1
Curve Fit: Pixels
Cornor Threshold: Normal

Cut out the sprites of Link moving thorugh the timeline using the lasso tool - go to Modify > New Symbol, and select movie clip. Name it anything you want. Paste the first scene of Link walking, cut the others, then click the second time bar on the timeline and press F6. Right down the "X" and "Y" of the sprite location, delete the sprite and paste. Repeat this process until your done and you've got Link walking using a sprite sheet!

If you're that desperate for single-serving sprites, you can go to Video Game Sprites.net. They have sprites from the original Legend of Zelda and possible The Adventures of Link, however, I'm not entirely certain on that second one.
