Hits vs. Pageviews

I decided to research what was the difference between hits and pageviews, and after about half a minute's worth of googling, I found this:

A hit - This includes not only a webpage, but all the images as well. So if you viewed a page with 20 images on it, that's 21 hits because 1 page view and 20 image views.
A pageview - This doesn't include the images, just the page. So if you view a webpage, that's just 1 pageview.
So there you have it, now you know the difference between hits and pageviews in case you were wondering.
