You must read and abide by these rules when using ZF. Before you can make posts and use various other features, you must register an account. Registration is completely free. You may not create multiple accounts, only one account can be registered per user.

Spamming
Spamming is not permitted. Spamming includes: Double posts, one/two worded posts, posts that contribute nothing to a thread, posts that are illegibal and/or inane babble, advertising outside the advertising forum, and flaming. Flaming members (insulting them) is not allowed here.
Also, from now on, you may not post "goodbye" messages, or "I am busy at the moment" messages. Spamming also includes posting advertisements in the wrong forum. Also, please don't commercially advertise - whether you're a loser doing it to get better SEO (won't work by the way, rel=nofollow), or just selling some stuff you don't need anymore. Save it for ebay!

Post content
Swearing must be kept to a minimum. Also, make your posts readable (ie. no "1337 Sp34k" or messanger talk) and take into account good grammer and spelling. Forums arn't chatrooms.
Also, keep posts on topic. If you want to talk about something else, you can simply create a new thread regarding what you want to talk about. Posts may not contain any offensive, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate content - for example, WAREZ or ROMS.

Avatars & Signatures
Like posts, both avatars and signatures may not contain any offensive, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate content. The maximum avatar dimensions is 100x100 pixels. Signatures must be kept to a reasonable size.
You can advertise your sites via your signature, but only to a mild degree. No big stupid banners or huge text links, just a little mention of your site will do. We don't want a forum filled with big, annoying adverts.

Links to websites
Links to websites posted on ZF may not contain any offensive, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate content. This includes (but is not limited to) WAREZ, ROMS, illegal content, porn, hentai, etc.
You many not advertise sites except in the advertising forum. Advertising anywhere else is not permitted.
Advertising via PM is not allowed here. You stand a chance of being instantly banned if you're caught advertising via PM. If you get any PM's advertising sites, then forward them to a member of the moderating team and the offending user will be dealt with.
In the advertising forum, do not post more then one thread about your site either, and don't bump your thread - if nobody replies, then sorry, nobody's interested in your site. For a reminder of advertising in signature rules, read the signature rules above.
Finally, do not advertise your site in the shoutbox. It may be a place for people to chit-chat and generally cause mayhem, but the last thing people want is more adverts thrown in thier faces.

Moderating
If a moderator or admin does something such as edit a post or lock a thread, please respect thier desicion as they are doing what is best for the community. If you still have a problem with a moderator then please polietly PM them and state your (valid) reasons. You will much more likely be listened to and treated fairly then if you open up a thread publically and say "I hate you, you locked my thread!!".
Also, do not ask to be a moderator! Asking is only showing us that you are not doing it because you are interested in keeping the community a good place, but because you just want a better position then everyone else. If we decide that a new moderator is needed, then we will pick one by ourselfs.

Remember, these rules are not optional, they are mandatory and must be followed. If you do not agree with these rules, then you may not use Zelda Forums.
