It's good that they cell-shaded the game, some kids might want to try Zelda in the 3D version without the game being mature.

I disagree. Detail is abundant in the Wind Waker. Detail is not interchangeable with good looking game any more than realism is. Appeal can come from color as well, which seems to be in many cases the complete opposite of realism. Detail can be fit into either category. Just because TP has more realistic graphics, doesn't necessarily mean it has more detail. However, a look into the evolution of the games would provide substantial evidence that nintendo is paying attention more to details as they produce more Zelda titles, but I urge you rather to think a little harder on that assumption than just believing that realism marks a good looking game, and that only good looking games can have detail.

In the beginning, I was one of those "what are the Zelda producers drinking!?" types. But looking back, I believe the experience was almost more applicable with the style used, and I can't imagine it in the form of other major games like OoT and TP. I just don't think it would fit.

So yeah, I liked it and it was one of the best and most memorable of the games I've played.

I loved the cell shading! It really made the game look different. There's not much more I can say about. It was just "wow" at first sight.

I'm okay with it. Although, I'm sure it turned down many Zelda fans, and I'm sure some kids who thought they were too 'mature' for it. Seeing as how it looked like a cartoon.

You can never be too mature for a Zelda game. They're al the same. Temples, bosses, etc. If some actually thought it was baby-ish, then it's pretty sad. If think that experimenting new graphics is a good idea.

And besides...it didn't turn down that many fans because they still made PH using the same Cell graphics.

The cel-shading was very good, and it suited the Wind Waker very much. It would have looked weird if they made a remake with the TP graphics. The environments had to be colourful like that, and it could have only been done through cel-shading.
