Yahoo or Google?

I'm surprised I didn't find a thread like this...

Anyway, which do you think is better? Yahoo or Google?

I prefer to use Yahoo, mainly because I grew up with it. I used it all the time for my school projects and stuff and I use it for my email addresses now.

I also prefer Yahoo because it has more! All Google is is a search engine. Yahoo is much more than that. In addition to having a search engine, Yahoo can tell you about horoscopes, has emailing, instant messaging, and...HOLY MOLY! TP is talked about on the homepage right now! Yep, Yahoo also shows articles about stuff. Yahoo has a lot. Google has nothing but a search engine as far as I know.]

So, I think Yahoo is better.

i like google because theres no ads and all that on the main page like yahoo and ive always used google ive only used yahoo once or twice,so im stickin' with go0o0o0ogle

I don't like either. I prefer Ask.com. But, since that isn't an option, I'd say Google.

Google is a lot better then Yahoo, which is lacking in new innovations. Google mail is better then Yahoo mail, google search is better then Yahoo search, plus Google has tons more useful features and is constantly coming up with them.

Google has YouTube, Analytics (read: live website traffic stats), code search (allows you to search downloadable source codes on the internet), Checkout (basically like paypal), plus all the usual stuff (Groups, News, Product Search) and more. And they're all done so well.

Yahoo has some good features, but Google does them more efficiently, and like I mentioned before, Yahoo hasn't come up with anything groundbreaking for ages. The search engine results from Yahoo are not as Google's usually either. Google Adsense is generally paying out more then Yahoo as well.

How did you think that Google was only a search engine? =P

I agree with the don on this one. its a no brainer. I have never intentionally used Yahoo because its crap and i never get what i want out of it.

Because every time I open Google that's all it comes up as. A search engine.

Besides, Yahoo has a lot of things Google doesn't as far as I know. Yahoo has intstant messaging and I've never heard of anything like that being on Google. Yahoo can tell you the weather in your area, your horoscope info, articles on things and you can browse games and see their prices, and all that cool stuff that I've never seen on Google.

But yeah, I do usually turn to Google if I don't find what I'm looking for on Yahoo. Most of the time, though, Yahoo satisfies me.

Google doesn't have Instant messaging, but you can set up a gmail account and use it on MSN

Well, I don't want to use Google mail. I already have an MSN account with a Yahoo address anyway, so yeah.

I use Yahoo. The beta version of their email is awesome, but it doesn't seem to work with Firefox. (Yes I am now using Firefox because IE keeps giving me errors).

IE gave me errors at Yahoo too. That's one reason why IE sucks on my computer. It caused me a lot of trouble. So, I use FireFox to do my internet browsing on Yahoo.
