Nintendo is the best.Microsoft is only good becouse of graphics and graphics are overrated.Nintendo has a better story line.Thats why nintendo is so great.

it depends on your preference, Nintendo seem to have a good line of less realistic and more fantasy based games, with their more popular titles being the likes of mario and zelda. Microsoft, although I am no fan of the X-box, I do like certain pc games, and IMO rts games should only be on pc and nothing else

Since i am a fan of both microsoft and nintendo I am afraid I am gonna have to disagree with you.
Nintendo have always been known for creating adventure games (examples: Mario, Zelda, Banjo, donkey kong, final fantasy etc.)
However microsoft (X-Box and X-Box 360) Are known for designing FPS and Racing games (My favourite Platforms) (hey, more use of brackets

)
Anyways people who dislike famous X-Box games such as Halo, PDZ (omfg perfect dark was for nintendo as well) and Quake tend to dislike the console as well.
Basically you cant say one is better than the other, its all down the the type of game you like.
If you are a big fan of Adventure/RPG games but dont like FPS and such will like nintendo more. However if you like FPS more than adventure then you are more likely to be an X-Box person.
I myself like both genres so I like both consoles and both companies.

I do agree with what your saying and thats why I said it depends on preference, I am more a fan of rts and adventure games which is why I dont like th x-box, but as I say that is only my opinion

Well, I have to say I like both. (Between me and the rest of the board, though, I love Nintendo WAAAAY more)

As was said previously, Nintendo makes more fantasy-themed games, or at least, that's what their forte is. Microsoft, however, makes good action games, such as Halo or Dead or Alive 3. There are other ones that I don't really feel like mentioning (since I didn't play them all that often), but Microsoft is better for more action-based games, I think.

I like a few xbox games. But alot of those games are also for PS2, my secondary console. The type that I like are fantasy and adventure, such as LoZ or FF.

But, which company I like overall more as itself. Nintendo. Has a much cooler guy behind the games (Miyamoto). The company itself has been making higher quality games longer. And they are original.

The console I really hate is Playstation, and it is actually the main reason nintendo was shunned for a few years.

The Nintendo 64 was released before the PS and everyone loved it, in fact nobody had even heard of an X-Box or Playstation, however the range of games was not as good, yet people still liked it.
THEN sony released the PS1 with shuddy gameplay and shuddy graphics. So what was it that made people like sony more you might ask? It is of course, the range of games that were released, people were bored of the same old Mario and Zelda stuff and they wanted something new, so Nintendo was pushed aside and Playstation came into power.

Lol. One of the only reasons I like PS2 is because of FF. A few other games. Too big I think. Same with the Xbox. Just about all of the Nintendo systems have been relatively small (as far as consoles go) while all the Microsoft consoles have been massive.
