Poll: Should they make a Majora's Mask Remake?

Should they make a Majora's Mask Remake?

It would be much scarier than the original, but it's the original... so you can't do it.
What I think they should do is to create a sequel, involving the moon, four giants, and masks.
What do you think?

Depends what if put in it. I for one would like to see Majora as a main villain once again, nut it can't have the same plot. It needs to be something like what TP was to OoT. Same place, just made bigger and better, and a different plotline, but with the same final boss. That's my opinion on the matter.

No, it wouldn't be as good. MM was a great game already, but only a few games should be remade. It wasn't any where near as popular as OoT. So, if there was, it probably wouldn't be as good.

Nintendo would definitely make an OoT remake before they even think about making a MM one.

Lol, Rumors have been circulating that a Direct sequal to Oot is in production.
It apparently takes place in the EXACT replica of Oot hyrule, with a few new areas and dungeons, with Minish Cap style graphics.
I hear it takes place AFTER Oot and BEFORE Majoras mask.
I dont know if its true but perhaps it could fill in a big gap in the timeline, and prove once and for all that the split Timeline theory is right or wrong.

That wouldn't make sense. It wouldn't be able to fit into the timeline. It would have only like, a week span for the entire game. Well, MM was in 3 days...But, still.

I don't think I believe those rumors. I mean when Link went back to being a kid, he probably went back to Kokiri forest and said "Man, I miss Navi." and went straight to the woods to look for her. But hey, maybe the game will be more about ACTUALLY finding Navi or at least clues to where/why she went.

Anyway, more on topic, I think they should remake MM, but the Zelda "team" would most likely put out a sequel. I loved the score for MM: like grievousguy said, it was creepy. It should definitely used it again, but the villain would be someone new. Maybe a less "You've only got three days" Termina. I think they should open up the LoZ world to more than just Hyrule, since they talk about "other lands" in most of the games, but hardly ever show us any. Maybe a War? Anyone? No better general than the Hero of Time. That would be unexpected, which in LoZ....is ...expected?

Yes, I understand, but we dont know why and where navi left..
Oot ended with Young Link visiting Zelda again, so what happened after that? I assume Link told the King about Ganondorfs intentions, so he was stopped, but what could have happened after that? And where could Navi have gotten too.

Also in MM there is a cutscene of Zelda giving you the Ocarina of Time, that never happened in Oot, in Oot she threw it to you from horseback.
In otherwords, when Link went back to his childhood after stopping Ganon in the sacred realm, Zelda must have had a reason to entrust the ocarina to you again, for all we know there could be another story directly AFTER Oot, when Young Link visited Zelda.

Aha. Very thoughtful....and a little frighentingly detailed...

But very true. Leave it to Nintendo to leave themselves completely open to add a story wherever they feel like it.

But here's a thought, since I don't want to play through OoT right this moment to view the last scenes. You gave the Ocarina to Adult Zelda. She played the song of time to send you back. SO, the ocarina of time is in the "Timeline B" and so appears in ALttP, though minorly. So...how the hell can child Zelda give it to you if it's seven years in an alternate future?

Think about it:
Child Zelda gives you the Ocarina.
You use it to get the Master Sword.
You're sealed with it for seven years.
You give it to Adult Zelda and she sends you back.
**Hence: Ocarina no longer in Child Link's world anymore.**

Thoughts?

Well, i really liked MM so i think they should do what they did between OoT and TP in that its is the same world/idea but a different story. I also think the style should remain the same with the limited time situation (with a different reason) and it should be the same Link and not another look alike starting there life as a hero. At the end of MM they showed Link riding away on Epona so he is obviously still aventuring.
