We'll just make it a Top 5 with descriptions.
1. Final Fantasy VII
A true masterpiece that made me interested in RPG's. A great game, excellent FMVS, outstanding music. Everything a player could ask for.
2. Ocarina of Time
I've been a big fan of the Zelda series, since I played the originals when I was like....6 or 7? I've played 5 but 4 had that sense in it. It had great senes, and is the fastest, and one of the hardest, alongside the WindWaker.
3. Final Fantasy VIII
After playing VII, I had to play VII. I wasn't disappointed with VIII like much people. Infact, I loved it. The Graphics were superb along with the music. The characters were great. But the best part would be the magnificent FMV's.
4. Metal Gear Solid
I just recently started playing it and I'm loving. The game is a great action game and reminds me of a top-notch Hollywood Terrorist movie. The voice acting is probably the best in any game and the sheer comedy makes it a great game.
5. Mega Man
My Favourite Genre + one of the favourite Series is a great combo. Although, I don't really like the original MM series this was a great game. It wasn't Random Battles or anything, a bit like Parasite Eve or something. It's a great RPG with alot of action!
Honourable Mentions:
Brave Fencer Musashi, Grandia, Megaman X2, Megaman X, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Megaman X5, Megaman X6.

1. OoT
My first Zelda game. I started playing it when I was a wee lad about the age of 6. I watched my dad play it many times and I couldn't wait until I was old enough to understand the puzzles and complete it by myself.
2. TWW
I loved the cel-shading and sailing in this game regardless of what everyone else thought. I found this game exciting and very original compared to the others.
3. Mario 64
My first Mario game. The second game I had ever played and accomplished by myself. The plot was great and I loved it.
4.Halo 1
Great story and plot. I really enjoyed the game.
5. Halo 2
Had a better multiplayer than single player. Playing online with my friends and making my level higher is so much fun. I'm currently a level 23. :P
6. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
I've probably beaten this game 20 times. Being able to choose your own destiny and powers was great. I still haven't tried its sequal but thats on the top of my games I want.
7. SSBM
This is probably the best non-online multiplaying game I've ever played. Mastering your character and playing with people you know is so great. I love this game.

1. Ocarina of Time
Simply put I love almost everything about it.
2. Final Fantasy VII
Its got a complex plot, great gameplay, a cast of interesting characters, a very nice musical score, ect.
3. Tales of Symphonia
Right now its my favorite Gamecube game, the graphics are very nice - its an interesting use of subtle cel-shading, a very fun battle system (especially with multiple people XD), and good characters (well, excluding Colette :P )
4. Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age
I <3 these games. Great graphics for the GBA, and an amazing storyline. The first one is a bit short compaired to the second, though.
5. Super Smash Brothers Melee
Very fun and very addictive. My favorite multiplayer game.
