Favorite Mario Character?

Title says it all. Who's your favorite Mario character from the series? There's quite a number of them to choose from, so I put eight of the best known characters and an other option in the poll.

My favorite is definitely Luigi! He's supposed to be smarter than Mario and is also funny! I mean, Luigi's made me laugh countless times. And also, I even had a crush on him once, lol. I don't anymore though. I've grown out of having crushes on video game characters.

Second favorites are Yoshi and Daisy. Yoshi's just adorable and Daisy is prettier and also seems to be more Zelda-like (according to Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Party 7) than Peach in my opinion, so I like her better.

Third is Wario. OMG, he is hilarious in Mario Party and Mario Golf. I couldn't stop laughing. Luigi made me laugh even more times than Wario did, though. Still, Wario is hiliariously funny like he is.

So who's your favorite?

I, too, choose Luigi Mario. He was my favorite character back when I played the classic Mario games. Everytime I played SMB or SMW, I would put 2 players just to play with Luigi. I think they keep on underestimating him. Not many people like him because he's overshadowed by his fraternal twin, Mario Mario. But, if anything, he demands the same respect as his brother. He was with Mario when they were sent from the Mushroom Kingdom to Brooklyn when they were babies. And he was with him when they discovered the pipe leading back into Mushlandia (Mushroom World). Luigi is also funny and is the comic relief of the two. I recently saw a Sprite Movie called "Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom." In it, Mario dies and Luigi creates an army to attack Koopa Castle. I agree, but I don't like it when people think their last name is Mario. I mean just because it's "Mario bros." doesn't mean Mario is their last name. I think it just means that Mario and Luigi are brothers and Mario is the main main character. Also, I don't think they're twins either. I heard Luigi is younger. Although he's taller.

Still, I really like Luigi and think he should get as much fame as his brother. ^^

Actually it was confirmed by Nintendo that their last name is Mario. Although, that is not important. Also, they are twins. If you play Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, you can see that the stork is deliverying both Mario and Luigi. That must mean they were born at the same time. Mario is still older than Luigi, though like 1 minute older.

I like Yoshi because he is so cool. He is like the main person that was brought to Mario and he was like the first characters.

Waluigi. Either him, Luigi or Mario. Waluigi was just cool looking, funny, and fun overall.

All the characters of Mario series are awesome. I voted for bowser because he is a giant turtle dino, he is the bad guy and he is in love with Princess Peach!

When? I don't remember ever hearing that it was confirmed their last name is Mario. Also, I have played Yoshi's Island and of course those babies are twins. However, they aren't Mario and Luigi. They are BABY Mario and BABY Luigi. They're different characters. If you play Mario Golf, you can see that Baby Mario and Mario are two different characters, so that obviously means Luigi and Baby Luigi are two different characters too. This is actually also proved in Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. I saw a picture of the four them from that game once. Luigi carrying Baby Luigi and Mario carrying Baby Mario.
