The best ever N64 game is Zelda OoT.
Other good ones are Zelda MM and the Banjo games. Yay, someone else mentioned them too. =D

Goldeneye was the first N64 game I had, it came with the console, and I loved every second of it. Sure, the graphics were as good as they could've been, and the multiplayer was a bit limited, but the single player mode makes it one of the greatest FPS-es ever.

I think that the best game ever for the N64 is Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon, it was a great classic and it introduced me to japanese games like final fantasy, custom robo, and even pokemon. It had great graphics at the time (the best in it's time) and it won awards for it's tremendous input in detail, there are some not-so-funny puns in the game, and an audience laughs in the background. (Reeeeeeeely cheesy!) but that's the funny part, and the plot, is great. TOTALLY ORIGINAL, word plays on food, and other japanese stuff in a sort of feudal Japan. But there's a touch of sci-fi.
So I'm nominating Mystical ninja: Starring Goemon, unless someone has a better point to prove, :P Pbbt!

Oot and Super Smash Brothers, are both awesome. And the fact that I'm playing my first time through OoT right now, and I'm not very far I still think its really good.

For me, it's a tie between Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini. They're both great and unique games. While Perfect Dark is an FPS and Jet Force Gemini is a TPS, Perfect Dark uses actual voices with subtitles if wanted. JFG uses text only, although it has those grunts here and there. JFG is more futuristic than Perfect Dark, but Perfect Dark features a wider arrange of weaponry than JFG. Perfect Dark is also a bit more realistic than JFG. Actually, I would say Perfect Dark is the best N64 game, in my oppinion of course.
